Discover the colours of French music at Le French May! Acclaimed pianist Michel Dalberto performs two rarely heard gems with the orchestra: the poetic Ballade by Fauré and Franck's brilliant Symphonic Variations. The orchestra will also perform Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, an orchestral suite dedicated to victims of the war, and Julian Yu's witty arrangement of Pictures at an Exhibition, the most famous orchestral version of which was written by none other than Ravel himself. Don't be surprised if you catch a Chinese folk tune embedded in this new chamber version!
